  • Flame Retardants in Plastics: Past and Present
Flame retardants are a class of chemicals specifically designed to provide passive fire protection to polymers in specific fire risk situations. The fire protection provided by flame retardants can vary from flame retardation, slowing the growth of flame spread/heat release to reducing smoke and toxic gases. When properly selected and used, flame retardants can be used to implement a variety of safety measures. It is important to remember that each flame retardant solution must be customized for a specific polymer and specific testing. In other words, flame retardants are chemicals used in thermoplastics, thermosets, textiles and coatings to prevent or resist the spread of fire.   Read More>
  • Piperazine Pyrophosphate (PAPP) Product Characteristics and Application Analysis
Piperazine pyrophosphate is a new type of environmentally friendly flame retardant containing nitrogen and phosphorus, which is suitable for polyolefins, thermoplastic elastomers and other flame retardant products. Piperazine pyrophosphate flame retardant has excellent carbon formation and flame retardant properties. When the flame retardant product burns, the flame retardant forms a dense carbonized layer on the surface of the product, which acts as a barrier to oxygen and prevents the flame from spreading.   Read More>
  • Q&A for Flame Retardant Cables.
Cable flame retardant is a widely used material in the field of electrical engineering, which has an important role in stopping the spread of fire. With the continuous development of the power system and the expansion of the application field, the requirements for the safety performance of cables are getting higher and higher. Cable flame retardant is characterized by high temperature resistance, fire resistance, low smoke and non-toxicity, etc. It can effectively stop the spread of flame and reduce the release of smoke, so as to reduce the danger of fire. This article will answer some common questions about cable flame retardants to help you better understand the knowledge in this field.   Read More>
  • Comparison of Microencapsulated Red Phosphorus Flame Retardant and Ordinary Red Phosphorus Flame Retardant
Both microcapsule-coated red phosphorus flame retardant and ordinary red phosphorus flame retardant have certain advantages and application value in enhancing the flame retardancy of materials. Microcapsule-coated red phosphorus flame retardant has more efficient flame retardant performance and better stability, but the preparation cost is higher; while ordinary red phosphorus flame retardant has a wide range of application, but is relatively insufficient in smoke generation and stability. In practical applications, it is necessary to choose suitable flame retardants according to specific materials and environmental requirements.   Read More>

0907-Figure 1 Monthly Price Trends for the Yellow Phosphorus Market, 2025–2026 (yuanmetric ton).jpg
[Monthly Review of Yellow Phosphorus And Phosphorus-Containing Intermediates]: Prices Showed An Overall Upward Trend (August 2026)
2026/09/07

In August, the average monthly price of yellow phosphorus rose 4% month-over-month and 22% year-over-year, keeping costs for phosphorus-based flame retardants under sustained pressure. However, due to weak downstream demand, industry-wide oversupply, and difficulties in passing on cost increases, price hikes for flame retardants were limited, squeezing profit margins. In September, stockpiling ahead of the two major holidays may drive yellow phosphorus prices higher still, and cost support remains strong. Until end-user demand shows a noticeable recovery, the phosphorus-based flame retardant market is expected to maintain a pattern of “high costs, weak demand, and tight profit margins,” with profit recovery still contingent on a revival in consumption.

The Corrugated Pipe Haven't Been Delivered Yet, But The Product Has Already Deteriorated in The Warehouse?
2026/09/06

The leaching of flame retardants from corrugated pipes causes surface whitening, frosting, and a decline in performance; the root cause lies in the poor compatibility between the flame retardants and the PE substrate. YinSu Flame Retardant Company offers PE-XT-141 non-leaching flame-retardant masterbatch and the FRP-950X red phosphorus flame-retardant solution, which address the leaching issue at its source and ensure long-term stability of flame-retardant performance.

Fire-Retardant PVC Pipes: An Overlooked Market Opportunity
2026/09/03

GB 8624-2023 has included building piping materials within the scope of Class B1 flame retardancy. Rigid PVC pipes coated with 8 parts of red phosphorus can meet Class B1 requirements, while their ring stiffness and drop-weight impact resistance comply with GB/T 10002.1. Flame retardancy requirements for piping materials used in high-rise buildings, subways, and data centers are shifting from “optional” to “mandatory.”
